It’s been 1 year, 6 months, and 14 days since my last blog post. My three followers must have thought I fell off the face of the earth or died. Well, tres followers, the anticipation is over. I’m back and I’m ready to write just for you.
I have good reasons for my long absence. So many things have happened in my life that I hardly know where to begin.
- I became a grandmother.
- I quit my job.
- I started a new job.
- My youngest son graduated from high school.
- My eldest son moved back home from Connecticut.
- I lost 30 lbs. (25 more to go)
- I started driving for UBER.
There is more but that’s the bulk of it. I’ve been in a bit of a mental funk lately. Is it pre-menopause? Is it the stress of the life I lead? Is it a combination of both and all the other outside forces beyond my control? I have so much to be thankful for that this just sounds like whining.
Revert to the list.
I became a grandmother. I have an energetic and funny grandson, CJ. He is so full of personality and already has a sense of humor at 14 months old. He exhausts me in the best way.
I quit my job of 12 years. It was impossible for me to continue there. I felt like my soul died a little bit every day that I walked through the door. It was stagnant and I could no longer be a part of something that felt like a sinking ship.
I started a new job about 6 weeks after I left the old one. I’m basically doing the same type of work but the company is relatively new. It is challenging but fulfilling. I am happy to be a part of something that is successful and thriving.
My youngest son, Tanner, graduated from high school. I am so proud of the young man he is becoming. He plans to join the military. I am apprehensive for obvious reasons, but offer my full support of his decision.
My eldest son, Casey, moved back home from Connecticut to Texas to be closer to CJ (see grandson above). He found a good job and has a wonderful girlfriend. It’s so good to have him home again.
I lost 30 lbs. I finally decided it had to be done. I was tired of being fat and exhausted all the time.
I started driving for UBER. Honestly, the extra cash is nice. I’ve met some rather interesting people but I do it for the money.
So that is all for now. I suspect my three followers will be riveted to their seats while reading this. The twists and turns, oh my.
Not to worry. I am just getting warmed up. May we meet again soon.
